(This has probably been covered before, but at least not for a long time):

There's something great about the pop-art/pop culture aspect of a comic book cover. There are countless comic books from yesteryear that I would never bother to read, but whose covers I'm fascinated by. Mr. Byrne has done his fair share of great and innovative covers. So, what do you think is his best cover? If you had to choose only one from his impressive career, which is your favourite?

This is mine -- the layout, the top/left border, the position of the character... everything is perfect:

(It would be very interesting if Mr. Byrne himself would choose his own personal favourite...)

Hmmm... Mr. Byrne's Adventures into Subjective Contour have always appealed to me. Aurora and Spider-Man were the subjects in the ones I remember.

I can honestly say that pondering this question brings up an instant mental slide show of covers.  I love so many JB covers that I can't pick a true favorite, but let me pick one that I think doesn't get mentioned enough as a classic:

This is my favorite JB cover.

Dynamic is every way.

So friggin' tough!  So many to choose from!  I had to go on a gut level, a visceral feeling that I had just looking at the covers that immediately sprang to mind.  After one of the greatest cliffhangers of all time..

How could I not love this cover...

This one really tells a story, I think, and the re-creation and re-imagining are even better.

What a tough choice to make.  For every cover I think of another comes to mind.  The one that I come back to is Batman/Captain America.  That cover just screams out "Fun!"

This cover made me pay attention to the DC line of superheroes, for the first time.
