That's some great stuff by Paul Smith being posted! I love his art!

If I recall correctly, didn't Paul have a job in animation before he got into comics, including working on the animated "The Lord of The Rings"?

Ian Moss--those Paul Smith commissions are amazing. How cool would it
be if that Avengers comic was real? Those characters just look alive to me.
THAT'S the Avengers I want to read!

Seeing Paul Smith's artwork on Leave It to Chance convinced me that he is probably the one of the few  artists who could make the "black dots for eyes" Captain Marvel work in a modern setting. How could would Shazam by Robinson and Smith be?

I love Paul Smith's art.  I actually met him at a comic con in Virginia when he was drawing the X-Men.  He was working a Q&A session with a large group of people and I raised my hand to ask a question.  When he called on me, I totally forgot the frickin question I was going to ask and I ended up looking like an ass.  :)   Super nice guy, and I wish he was drawing a steady series.

P.S.  The question I was going to ask him was "what do you do with original art once a comic has been completed?"  I now know the answer to that question but didn't at the time.  :)

I have yet to see any Paul Smith art that doesn't completely enthrall me.

Wow. I've always enjoyed Paul Smith, but the posts in this thread have made me see that I have never fully appreciated him.  What a great surprise!
