Yeah Mike, but then they had to play the Axemen and Axewomen at Acadia!  I went to SMU for University and we were yet another Huskies.

Spotsylvania High Knights

But while looking it up, I came across this awesome goddam helmet/name:

The Annandale Atoms!!!

This is the singularly most original helmet in all of Virginia, I think. Most are just variations on classic college/pro logos, and animal monikers, but the Atoms!

My high school were the Chargers, but they always went with the lightning
bolts instead of a horse.

Oak Harbor Wildcats, Oak Harbor, Washington.

One of my favorite school mascots is the Richland High School Bombers of Richland, Washington.  Love it.  Richland is near the Hanford Nuclear plant and adapted the mushroom cloud during the cold war.  Take that you Russkies!

My high school is the Golden Lions. Not just Lions - Golden Lions.

A popular adjective. We were the Akron Garfield Golden Rams (and quite a football powerhouse in those days as well).

We were the Danbury High School Hatters- historically symbolized as a hat, but now they have a puffy Mad Hatteresque mascot.

Danbury, CT used to be Hat CIty of the world before that bastard Kennedy stopped wearing hats. Using the Mad Hatter mascot is funny in a weird way since people in Danbury really were sickened by producing hats with mercury.

The Rome Free Academy Black Knights

We used to have a guy dressed up as a black knight at our football games, but I couldn't find any pictures of it online.

My high school building was torn down last fall.  They built a new school several miles away.  Of course the $5 million dollar artificial turf field and stadium was spared the razing.

Falcons, my middle school were Blue Devils but had to
change it as it promoted Satanism or some similarly
ridiculous reason.
