Joe- Ok we will go with that.  I would also like to point ou that you do an amazing job as "Commission Consultant".

The more I look at this piece the more shocked I am that it took this long for the Human Torch to get his own.

Nice piece.  The pose is very interesting -- JB, is there anything to share about how/why you picked that pose?

I like the way the Torch "glows."

I love the pose of the character.  To me it suggests he has risen quickly into the air and this is a snapshot just as he relaxes at the apex of his climb.

Joe Hollon: That's a very interesting observation. I was thinking something similar.

JB, is there anything to share about how/why you picked that pose?

••

The customer asked for an "iconic" pose. Kirby did a pinup/info page in an early FF that featured the Torch in a pose similar to this, and it entered my young brain as very much "iconic".

Now, THAT's the Human Torch as God (and Jack Kirby) intended him to look!  Both of 'em must be smilin' down from Heaven on ya, JB!

The "REAL" Human Torch!  I love it.  Great job, JB.
