Best Colossus I've seen in years. Great work on this one, JB!

Love seeing the Juggernaut drawn by JB. Always wished that during his run on X-Men there would have been an issue with an all out battle with him and the X-Men.

JB, that is an awesome perspective there.  It really lets you feel how massive Colossus and Juggernaut are.

Regarding Dave Cockrum's cover, I can't believe prefer colored art to black and white.  Seriously.

So *this* is what you do when you take a month off!

Very dramatic piece!

Wow, the Colossus is great in this piece. But, Storm is the cherry on top. Great pose. She looks both scared and sexy all in one. Fantastic piece JB. Congrats to the lucky commissioner.

Really nice JB.  You've been on fire lately and I've seen a new step taken up the stairs of progression with all of these latest commissions.

Re: the Cockrum original(s), it's such a treat to see the original artwork compared to the final version.  In this case, I think a lot of the mood was lost in the transition though.

The black & white art has a real sense of being in a dungeon and a dark feel to it.  The colored version doesn't have any of that.

Wow, I love your Colossus and you Storm and and your Nightcrawler and your Wolverine. Why can't people just look at this and realise that this is how they should look? I really just don't understand.

That was the first issue of Xmen I had ever bought. I had never heard of them until Nightcrawler made a guest appearance in Spiderman. I wondered who the character was and that was the current issue at the time.

••

And the fun part about that was that you did not have to have both issues in order to get the story. Nightcrawler was making a guest appearance in SPIDER-MAN, as you note, not appearing as part of a crossover.
