Hey I at least I didn't mention the eating of fried chicken while I was handling it.  That would be cruel!  Whoops!  =)

I am reminded of when I was in my early teens, and every Friday I would get my allowance, hop on my bike, ride over to the drugstore where I bought my comics, scoot across the street to the Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet for a boxed dinner, then ride home to lie on the livingroom rug and eat the chicken while I read the comics.

Kentucky Friend Chicken and comics sounds about perfect to me.  I could probably go for that right now.

Getting this piece was one of my favorite parts of 2009. Thanks JB! :)

I wonder what this would have looked like if Nathan had opted for 20x30 instead of 18x24?

So, anyway, Nathan, now that the Disney deal seems to be going thru, how soon should we look for you to show up in your new position as EiC at Marvel?

Thanks Joe! --I do have a few ideas I'm kicking around...

Some day I'd like to commission an entire comic -- I know that could do the trick :)

So Nathan,

Would that be a Wayne Osborne-like here's my plot, draw it for me or a whole reimaginied book....

Before Nathan answers, let me insert here that a reimagined comic would have to be a VERY special case. I can't imagine a situation, really, in which I would be interested in revisiting my own work on such a scale, and reimagining a classic issue by someone else seems more than a little egotistical. An occasional cover is one thing -- but a whole book?

No worries, JB... I would only be interested in completely new material -- plot and all!

So I have an idea for a follow-up to this one... another big group shot (but with a more "focused" cast)... I need to live with the idea for a while to see if it "sticks"...

Hmmm...

Trust me, it's going to be awesome! I believe this new one will have more characters than JB has ever drawn in a single image before...
