Just received the PDF files from IDW for proofing, and was surprised and delighted to find that, as a bonus feature, the third issue, the first one on which I added the pencil toning, is reproduced in its published form and, in the back, in black and white without balloons or captions! So you get to see the art as I sent it in, before coloring and dialoging.

Pretty neat.

Brilliant.  I've got and always will get first the actual comic books, but I like to get a collection for 'shelf posterity'.

That is an excellent bonus - very much looking forward to seeing it.

IDW + John Byrne = A match made in heaven

Now, if we can just squeeze some Doctor Who work out of JB I'll be as happy as Larry (and his brother Larry).

Wow IDW does some great things with these TPB's.  I can't wait to see it.

2009 has been a great JB + IDW year with more to come!  Even better is that 2010 is shaping up to be just as great.

Very cool!

JB - is this the first time IDW has sent you a preliminary for the collected version?

They send me PDF files of everything, so I can make sure all is how I wish it to be. Sometimes I miss a detail here and there, but at least I have the chance. This is something Marvel and DC have never even offered!
