Especially like the dynamic of Captain America getting hit with that blast...leads you right to the mental image of him plunging down the pyramid.

JB, come on ... stop skimping on the detail, why don't you?

Just kidding, obviously.  This might be the most detailed piece I have ever seen from you -- and that's saying a lot.  Amazing job.

Off topic: Anyone in comics, in your opinion, who could bust up Ultron's adamantium body?  Superman (yours or Gail's and yours), Hulk, Gladiator (yours or whoever's versions of these two), etc.?

••

One of my least favorite motifs in superhero comics is the establishment of some ultimate thing -- a character, a weapon, a force -- almost immediately followed by some lazy writer using that thing to show how tough his character is by having him beat/break/stop it. So, if adamantium is truly supposed to be indestructible, then it should be indestructible, no matter who or what is unleashed against it.

More like somersaulting, stopping his descent, and then racing back up into the fray!

This IS Captain America, after all!!

The Avengers fighting Ultron... I absolutely love this. The action is there, the power of the characters is there. And the setting is awesome. All the details of the stairs and the rest background. A great, great piece.

God-DAMN-it, chief, your backgrounds are just -- just -- I'm at a loss for words, and, for me, that's almost unheard-of!  Holy SHIT, sir!  Congrats to the jammy bastard who commissioned this, the lucky son-of-a...

Iron Man's armor gives me a looks-like-Pablo-Marcos-inked-it vibe, and thank God for the non-cat-like version of the Beast, and, of course, nobody living draws a better Captain America.  What the hell is that thingie She-Hulk's about to lob at Ultron?

Edited to add: almost missed Hawkeye -- he kinda gets lost in that detailed background!  Sometimes you're too good for your own good, JB!

I think I've been hanging out here too much because I had a feeling a commission was coming today when I didn't see any early posts by the Chief.
Glad I was right!  What a great commission!  Nothing like a little Avengers action to make the weekend sweet!  Thanks for sharing.

Wow and WOW!

That's an insane amount of detail there, Chief!  Congrats to the commissioner!
