When is this being released? I'm having trouble finding the date. And I remember the date was changed at one point?
I know I'm really anticipating this as I usually don't track release dates - I take them as they come and try to treat releases as the surprises they should be. But I am chomping at the bit to see what you've cooked up for this one, JB.

Tim, the first issue is solicited in the current Previews. I think that's for books released in April.

Yup, FRONTIER DOCTOR debuts in April. I think I mentioned somewhere upthread that IDW decided to push McCOY back a month, so the ANGEL/LORNE one-shot could have March all to itself (as far as Byrne product).Finished the second issue about three minutes ago, btw!

Started the third issue today. This is going to be a "guest star" heavy tale, with characters reappearing from TWO of my previous TREK series for IDW.Anyway, here's a peek at the splash…

It would be interesting to see two former officers of the Enterprise talk about their ship and the fact that the ship will become something a little different but just as beautiful.

I'm getting a Perez vibe from the lighting.•• And it doesn't seem to be going away! This is a much "darker" tale, both in tone and art, than the first two issues, and as I continue with the heavy black and classic lighting, I keep seeing George on the page! Not that that's a BAD thing!

Good looking page, JB.
As well as getting a slight Perez vibe, there's something about that image that reminds of the art from 'Wendy's Friends'.
What did you use to ink it with? Looking at it I would say PITT pen backed up by a brush, but I'm not sure.
Thanks.

A little late to commenting on the preview page but it looks amazing. I like the darker look there and I have to say that JB is really knocking drawing boots out of the park. Good stuff and I can't wait until this series hits.

Thanks for the answer.
I've stopped using them myself recently, the nibs don't seem to be lasting at all. I don't know if I got a bad batch, but I've definitely been put off using the ones I have left. Briefly I went back to using the Pentel Brush Pen now I'm back to traditional brush.
