I imagine Tribbles don't have waiting times, given how far behind a vet would fall if he left one cooling its heels (?) in the lobby...

But then there would be a class-action lawsuit over the preferential treatment given to Tribbles as a result of their multiplicative proclivities...

Anyhoo, don't want to get too off-topic, here. Love that cover, and I am very anxious about this series.

I had a feeling that JB wouldn't be able to resist playing around with one or more of the main TOS characters! Sure, exploring the other corners of that universe has been great, but the TOS cast has such incredible appeal. Writers and artists have been playing around with those characters for nearly half a century, and the characters' potential still hasn't been exhausted.

It doesn't surprise me that we're now seeing a series like this after JB spent his first few series merely dipping his toe in the water with a cameo or two. Could such a diehard TOS fan like JB really produce STAR TREK comics without doing something substantial with one or more of those iconic main characters???? I get the feeling that he'd regret it if he didn't! I know I would!

Also, I've been so used to JB's various Romulan-based series that I automatically assumed that the guy on the cover is Romulan, when he could just as easily be (and probably is) a Vulcan!

••

How many who see it there will click on the link to come here, before they go off on a tear about how crummy the logo is? Or why Bones is in his TOS vintage uniform?

EXACTLY the type of fun and whimsy I miss seeing on most comic covers these days.  I'm totally there for this.  Can't wait!

Who's the colorist on this series? I really liked Lovern Kindzierski's previous work with JB, and it would be nice to see that continue.
