This is, of course, the issue that set the mini-brains all in a lather over my portrayal of Superman as a "pedophile".

Some people work WAY too had at being "offended", don't they?

Great issue. I really enjoyed seeing young Lois and Lana throughout this series. Love the last panel. You just knew that the last issue was going to be a battle royale after seeing that destruction.

JB, what were you using to ink those issues? I like the bold inks on the page William posted.

This issue has one of my favorite pages of all time, the one where Lana says, "I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!"  about Clark being Superboy.  That to me was one of the best things ever printed!  It validated Lana's gut instinct.  What a payoff!  To me it was what is fun about comics and I'm pissed at myself that I didn't pick up that page when it was available.  A forum member picked it up and if it was ever available again I'd grab it.  Great fun!!

One of my personal faves, too, Brad. I've had a fondness for Lana over Lois for as long as such things have been any sort of issue in my life!

I was kinda sorry that I could not draw Lana as she appeared in the old SUPERBOY comics, looking more like a teenage Lana Turner from the 1940s than a kid from the Twenties -- but, alas, I set the tone with the "flashback" in the first GENERATIONS, and, altho continuity glitches were a "theme" in these books, I didn't want to introduce my own!

In the context of that scene, Superman is only honoring Lana's friendship. Nothing more. I don't know why Generations 3 wasn't printed here in the USA. It would be on my to buy list.
