It was the neighbour bit that I found an unusual coincidence, though now I stop to think on it, that probably happened after meeting on the show. I never thought to ask either of them.

In the BUFFY comic Whedon has been writing at DH Angel has been revealed as the villain. This was not cleared with IDW, who are supposed to have the ANGEL rights.

"Really worried that it will get passed over by elitist BUFFY fans, in the wake of this recent mess with DarkHorse and Whedon." --
God, I hope people aren't that small-minded.

I plan on buying multiple copies, now that I've read that, JB. Andy Hallet was a talent lost far too soon. I've also lost family too soon from the same, so I'm happily on board with helping the cause of research.

JB, if you haven't done so already, can you describe how you came about working on this tribute book?
Donating in Mr Hallett's honor is a top-notch move - I hope the book results in a big fat donation check!

Thoughts/comments from a guy whose sum total knowledge of the Buffyverse prior to JB's ANGEL comics was this: there was a Buffy movie 20 years (?) ago that did not star Sarah Michelle-Gellar (sp?). There was a series in the 90s/early 2000s (?) starring Sarah Michelle-Gellar. That's it. That's my total pre-JB familiarity.
1. Cool set of characters and monsters we're introduced to throughout this book. I particularly liked Krathlak. 2. Illyria? Isn't that where Paul Greer is from? 3. The page 4-5 spread worked really well. 4. The transition from panel one to panel two on page eight worked perfectly on me! Just enough of a hesitation in my reading that the dragon was a surprise even though it was right there! Cool. 5. Nice touch with everyone holding up their cell phones to take pictures. That's exactly what any fantastic situation in public would look like. 6.What does the original art to page 28 look like?

Is this an all-JB book? I didn't see it at my LCS.

All JB, yep! Over-sized too with a little four page back up story and some text tribute about the actor that played Lorne. Some proceeds from the comic are donated to the Red Cross in Andy Hallett's name.
