I've often been surprised that Kang isn't used more often in stories. He became the forgotten villain for a while. I was glad to read the other day that he'll be back in an arc of the Avengers soon.

Ye gods! That reads almost like a parody of everything that has gone wrong with Marvel!!!

I just read that Kang is actually Nathaniel Richards. WTF? When did this happen? Since JB's story, I thought Kang was a Richards descendent.

That's what I intended, certainly. But over the past decade or so, the folk up at the House of Idea have made such a concerted effort to overturn everything I did, I am no longer able to convince myself it is pure paranoia to say it's all deliberate!

I realize it's been 20+ years since I was first introduced to the character and his aliases ( Rama Tut, Immortus) but when did all this other crap even happen? Damn.

And when did he stop being Immortus?

When did he become this alternate universe person?

Why do writers/ editors wnat to make shit as complicated as possible?

Wow.  Nice!  And a VERY heavy Buscema influence in the drawing as well.

And great commission, by the way. I love that left hand. Dammit, but I wish I could draw hands as well as you.

Again, I will invoke laziness. It it much, much, MUCH easer to simply add on stuff than to try to work within the frame of what already exists.

I like everything about the piece.  Your best drawing of Kang yet, JB.
