Excellent work!  These large size commissions never fail to amaze me.

JB, if you were to write a DD monthly, how would play him---light-hearted, as in his early adventures, or grim, a la Miller?

Thank you Mr. Byrne for not only this great Daredevil commission, but for also the other commission you recently did for me that was the reimagining to the cover to 'Fantastic Four' # 39, titled 'And a Blind Man Shall Lead Them".

As a long-time reader of Marvel, and a massive fan of Daredevil, I was always sad that you never had a crack at producing a number of DD issues.

The composition you came up with for the reimaging to the cover of Daredevil Annual # 1 is nothing short of breathtaking! Bravo sir, for outdoing the great Gene Colan.

From the two commissions, it shows that you had fun tackling DD, and I look forward to commissioning you for a couple of other ideas I have for you.

Kind regards, Andrew

Great start to your Byrne commission collection!  This one in particular is a personal favorite.  I look forward to more of your ideas coming to life.

I don't care what people say, I think Stilt-Man is pretty cool!

He's one of those characters I never realized people thought of as "lame" (or whatever) until I was grown up.  I think he makes a great visual.

Any super-hero who has seen "The Empire Strikes Back" would quickly dispatch Stilt-Man.  ;)

**********

For a while there I was keeping a list of all the commissions and ranking my favorites in various categories!  As more and more commissions were produced it became basically impossible and I started to realize the difference between my favorite and maybe my tenth favorite was totally insignificant (and changed day-to-day anyway).  However, I would say this one remains among my top 10...but I also think I have about 25 commissions in my top 10!!!

Reminds me of a story a friend told me a while back. He is a classic car buff, and apparently there is one particular car, the creme de la creme of such things, of which only a handful were actually made. Like, 17 or so. Yet, my friend told me, there are over 70 of them registered in this country!

No one, it would seem, wants to get theirs checked to find out if it's really one of the fake ones!
