In the hoopla over the return of NEXT MEN, this one seems to have been lost, or overlooked, or ignored!

This is the "widescreen" project. IDW has the JURASSIC PARK license, and Chris Ryall asked me if I would be interested in doing something with dinosaurs. Result, my own 3-part version of one of those old Universal "Monster in the Desert" movies I loved so much as a kid.

Just WHAT KIND of critters are making the trouble is saved for a "reveal" on the last page of the first issue (after plenty of blood and carnage of the aftermath variety in the rest of the issue), so to "save the secret" this is what I came up with as the cover art:

(Don'tcha hate it when some monster swallows your camera?)

Wonder how you go about getting it back?

Awesome!

Chief, with everything you're doing with IDW, it shows that you're having fun.

I could have wait a bit longer for the announcement.

By the way, I always have a thing for the way folds are rendered. The character on the left, his left shoulder and arm folds look great.

Sounds cool!  Perhaps Clint shall have a new monster commission idea now.  IDW and JB continue to make a terrific team!

JB, did you use a brush to ink this cover?  The inking reminds me of the Halloween project.

Not so much as a whisper of brush on this one! All the Fine point PITT pen.
