So it seems Walt Simonson is now involved somehow with the Heroes Initiative charity, so OF COURSE he put the arm on me, and got me to do this piece. Walt said I could do whatever I wanted, so inasmuch as this seems to be one of the most popular AVENGERS stories I worked on, I thought this is what I should do. (No, the interior is not a reprint or retelling of this story.)

It's on an actual comic cover, printed blank for this project, save for the logo. Damn weird stock to work on! And, of course, drawing "actual size" is odd!!

Approx 9x12 inches.

Full size en route to Dan, as usual, for the Gallery.

So, is this something that will only be available through the Hero Initiative?  They are not making copies of this are they JB?

I would love for you to start doing commissions on these covers JB. But in the meantime I am thrilled you are doing work for the Hero Initiative.

This is a one-of for some kind of auction, as I understand it.

Amazing work, JB!  I love it when you draw the Avengers characters.  There is so much of this I like.  Iron Man is amazing and I think the Vision is incredible.

Side story is that I had heard that this was happening from Weezie in Baltimore.  I was sworn to secrecy until it popped up.  I didn't realize it would be so soon!

Once again well done, JB!
