Catwoman's eyes are my favorite feature of this one.

It has been a while since I posted on the board, but a Bat themed commission is always worth commenting on. Congratulations Kevin!!! Batman 3D remains one of my all time favorite books, and I am glad to see a tribute to that book done as a commission. Very cool how Batman was worked into this one, and very nice to see Bat villains front row and center. The baddies seldom seem to get their due. For me, the best part of this is how Batman has been worked in to the hat and monocle. Hope this is the first of many commissions for you!

Is Batman 3-D currently in print in any format? I love this commission and am reminded I've never managed to put my hands on an original copy of Batman 3-D. I'm not even entirely sure what it is! Google's telling me it was an original graphic novel from 1990, but I can't imagine an entire Byrne graphic novel sneaking past me. Maybe, though!
What are JBs major Batman projects to date? I remember the one issue of Man of Steel, the Action Annual, the "Many Death of the Batman" that Aparo drew, Batman's appearance in Legends, that relatively recent JLA story, an issue or two from the Batman Adventures comic, and of course a lot of material in Generations. I'm sure I'm missing some obvious outings (aside from Batman 3-D). Any help?

What stupid thing was I doing in 1990 instead of buying this?

It occurs to me there is a small but important lesson to be learned in this piece. I have ranted before about how characters seem hardly ever to be created, any more, so that their names actually TELL you who they are, even if they are not directly applicable to their powers. (I usually site characters like Medusa and Quicksilver as prime examples of getting this right.) *** Cable?

It's a funny thing to focus in upon, but, yeah! The day I stumbled upon that little line to define the shape of the underside of the nose, it really transformed my approach to faces. Especially female faces. Look at my early work at Marvel and my female characters barely have noses at all! *** When I used to draw quite often, one of the most difficult things to do was noses. A few years ago, I was messing around with inking a copy of a JB pencil scan that I'd printed out and I suddenly realized that the key to noses is the space they are built around. It was one of those "I get it!" moments.

Cable?•• Since the image is of Arnim Zola, and "Arnim Zola" is the character's given name (like "Reed Richards" or "Peter Parker"), your point eludes me.
