I really like Diamondback. I enjoyed the interaction between her and Cap. Nice to see this commission play on that relationship.

So great...I don't even know where to begin.

Thank you JB.  I love it.

Thanks Wallace.  Yes, the number of JB-drawn Diamondbacks has increased, but the number of people who own those pieces has not.

Love the image, but I don't have a clue who Diamondback is. When was she
a player in the Cap mythos?

Diamondback was introduced with the Serpent Society in the early 300's of the first series, when Mark Gruenewald was writing.  She started out as a bad girl but then she got a crush on Cap and eventually went over mostly to the side of the angels.

Not sure if that's still the case or if she's still running around in Cap.

Ah, OK. I've never read any issues of the Gruenwald run on Cap. Is it worth
looking into? Is it available in a collected format?

@ Thomas regarding the Gruenwald run:

I think it was really fun stuff, and very Super-hero-y in a good way. He wrote lots of thought ballons, giving lots of insight to what the characters were feeling DURING the action, which gave the action more oomph, y'know what I mean?

Highlights were the issues where Steve Rogers must become The Captain, and 'The Bloodstone Hunt' 6-parter(the latter of which spotlights DIAMONDBACK as a matter of fact)

I don't know if they've collected those issues, but back issues shouln't be too-too hard to find. (John Byrne artwork in a back-up tale in #350!).
