Welcome to the land of swimming pools, movie stars, Matt Reed, and Nathan Greno!

DC Comics will be poorer without him.

Enjoy the new locale and new responsibilities, Mike!

Ryan, your list makes Matt Reed and Nathan Greno somehow sound like they're not movie stars.  I'm confused.

Congratulations to Mike!

Mike Carlin was the first comics person whose name I became aware of. This was because he actually appeared in an issue of Captain America, interviewing and hiring Steve Rogers to become an artist for Marvel. It was then that my 8-year old mind realized that people actually wrote and drew the stories and I started to look at the credits and learn names like Byrne and Gruenwald and Stern and Buscema and Frenz.

I'm confused that they're not swimming pools.

What's Mike Carlin going to do at Warner Animation though? They've been pretty good lately with the DC animated stuff, from Brave and the Bold to the current Young Justice on Earth-16. Even though I'm not a huge fan of any of the direct-to-DVD movies, those are already managed by veterans like Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski.

Maybe we'll start to see theatrical animated movies?

While this may further decrease the possibility of JB visiting the DC universe, I still wish him well.

Way back in '93 I showed Mr. Carlin my first portfolio. I told him that, at that time, I had trouble coming up with stories and that if I reworked a story I had already seen, I wound up becoming frustrated by the images already created. 3 months later, I received a package with two scripts and two plots to work from, with a nice letter that apologized for the delay on sending them (who am I to be apologized to) and wishing me luck. A real class act. I wish him nothing but happiness in his new position.

Congratulations to Mike, and to Warner Animation, as well -- they've got a hell of a resource there; let's hope they take full advantage!

Good for him, new challenges and adventures.  Should be a fun turn of events.  Congratulations.
