I'm re-reading Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny. The jumping around in time confused me quite a bit the first time I read it, so I'm hoping to have a better handle on the chronology this time. His writing really is wonderful at times. *** One of my absolute favorite books, second only to CREATURES OF LIGHT AND DARKNESS when it comes to Zelazny.

Rereading: STAR TREK: CREW What can I say. It's a great and fun read. Wish that JB could have done a sequel to this. So much unexplored territory.

28) "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card
Decades after a couple of devastating invasions by bug-like aliens, Earth prepares a child to command the army that will defend us against their final assault.
Even tho we get a lot of Ender's interior thoughts, the book still feels pretty cold. Maybe it's just how the army sets their sights on Ender from the beginning, and how systematic they are in Ender's education. Still, a powerful read and classic sci-fi.

I'm re-reading a bunch of my early Battletech novels. Presently I'm reading Heir to the Dragon by Robert Charrette.
I'll probably go read my Dominion War Star Trek novels next as I just finished watching DS9 again.

29) "Catching Fire" by Suzzanne Collins
Second in the "Hunger Games" trilogy. Lots of the book spent with the characters standing around talking, getting to the Hunger Games arena only in the last third, and barely any fighting. Then there's the whole thing with the book ending on a cliff-hanger to lead into the next book. Ugh. Fortunately Collins is good at getting the main character to try to puzzle things out, second guess, and being caught up in her own emotional world.

I am soooo backed upo on reading materials. I have a bad habit of snagging stuff that looks interesting and then having no time to read it. Just ordered Onmivore's Dilemma based on a recommendation.
I've been in a full non-fiction mode for a while now...well, my intent has been to be in a full non-fiction mode!
