One thing to have in mind with regards to the COLD WAR was that it
was "COLD" merely between the two major superpowers. Indirectly,
several countries got torn apart, endured internrcine wars, coup
d'etats and dictatorships as the "big two" pulled the strings.

THE WORLD WAS GOING OUR WAY, for instance, is an interesting
book on the Soviet influence on the third world...it's based on research
done on the Mitrokhin Archives and contain lots of real life espionage
episodes.

I go away for a few days and miss out on a major announcement. JB doing spy stories set in the era where spies are the ultimate hero. JB doing real people in real clothing. A special B&W version of issue 1. Good gravy!! I'm excited!! I'm looking forward to more preview pages.

I expect I will find myself saying this a lot over the run of the series, even after several arcs have been published and the lay of the land is well established:Swann is not a "spy". He is a "secret agent". And a freelancer, to boot!

I see many possibilities story wise with him being a freelancer. I stand corrected in him being a secret agent.
