I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I am glad you are the one making the decision about your creation and doing what you feel is best. But on the other I hope this is not something you feel you have to do--it seems very rare that a creator gets to do it their way, 'til the end. And even more than for myself, I want you (JB) to be the most satisfied with your story.

I know I am not expressing this well. I guess I just hope you are happy that you got to tell your story your way.

I haven't kept up with Dr. Who the last couple of seasons, but it seems the "Zeitgeist" or whatever may be real--whenever I discuss story ideas with a friend it does not seem to be more than a year or so later that something very similar pops up.

That's just too bad, JB. I'm very disappointed as through these months, IIRC, your plans for AFTERMATH have gone from an open-ended series to a 10 or 12-issue series to a 5-issue series now...

I'm probably in the minority here, but personally, I'd rather see you produce more Next Men than a new superhero book.

This is the first I've heard about the super hero book but I'm all for it. I do agree that some people out there on the net would accuse you of ripping off DOCTOR WHO. Better to have less of AFTERMATH than none at all.

I have faith. 5 issues... 12 issues... 50 issues... doesn't matter. It'll be a good story!

JB,

Does the thing we talked about when I visited you still fit in the story? I hope so! :)

This is definitely bad news for me since I don't watch Dr Who and can;t get the story the way you intended.  Just another reason, I guess, for me to not care about that show.

Sorry to hear that AFTERMATH is going to be shorter. Still, I am happy to have what is coming out. Also, very excited about the upcoming superhero project.

Sorry to hear about your story JB. I've actually had something similar
to me. It really feels like someone just punched you in the gut.
Horrible feeling.

However, I'm really looking forward to seeing what what you coming.
It's been a really long time since I've seen you write and draw a
superhero book.

Yup. That's the sub-plot that is being moved to the fore.

This is the first I am hearing of the superhero book.  Look forward to reading it.  Will it be one of your own characters?

Hmmm... How literally do I want to respond to that question?

It's all good news to me!  We still get Aftermath and we get more JB superhero comics.  I don't watch WHO so I won't know what I am or am not missing.  No biggie.  I just know I'll be buying and reading!
