Another alternate reality --- now, are those uniforms still yellow, or are they blue?

11x14 inches -- not a commission.

Love it! I always liked the 3D 4s on the uniforms.

i love the idea.
what was the reasoning for the helmet on the Thing ?
is that a matching "4" on the Torch's uniform (under the flame) ?
thanks for sharing

The Thing wore a helmet in FF #3 when they first got the costumes if I remember correctly.

Great piece JB.

Too cool!

Would this be a reality where Marvel Girl helped design the costumes?
(She's the one that designed the X-Men's costumes, yes?)

No. Tho she did compliment the designer.

Perhaps you are cross-referencing the scene in FF 3, that established it was SUE who designed THEIR uniforms.

Fun! Thanks for sharing this!

Q 4 JB: In the "Just for the X of it" thread you mentioned that Kirby
possibly intended the X-Men uniforms be black & white. Did that have
any bearing on your Doom Patrol uniforms?

Man JB that's a fun idea. Are we seeing you fill the void left by the
closing of the commission list? Are you thinking Johnny has a mask
under the flames too?

And it begs the next questions:

Are these the Fantastic X-Men?  Or the Uncanny Four?

That, or the X-Men issue when they changed costumes and Jean had designed the unique look of each member.

I am hoping for the other teams to get the alternate uniforms as well.  The Avengers, Champions, Alpha Flight, etc.  It would be a lot of fun I think.  Even single characters like Sleepwalker or The Eel could use a new look!  =P

That is VERY neat, JB! I love your alternate takes on the established subjects. Unfortunately for me, it gives me expensive ideas!!! =)

Bobby only wore the boots and the trunks in the early issues. I do see gloves on Johnny so maybe he is wearing the full uniform.
