JB: TRIO

---

I know a little bit about this project from my visit to JB's house a few months back... and the title really fits!

I remember the other title you were toying with, JB... I liked it... but I LOVE the new one! GO TRIO! :)

Oh my. How will I get to read this book in public without being teased is beyond me! Let me explain:
Trio stands for 3, coming from the word "tria"=three. When we use the word "trio" over here 9 out of 10 times we mean 3 people in sexual intercourse. People who see me holding the book are going to kill me, thinking I am reading porn!!! And PLEASE don't add "John Byrne's" over it, that may lead them to other conclusions!!!

Joking aside, the logo looks great. I can hardly wait for the book!!

A group of three persons or things.

Hmmm... I better park my idle speculation for now until there are more teasers and/or hints.

<whine on> How long do I have to wait? <whine off>

Note: I am a semi-expert on the whine having three young children who are mostly non-whiney. Mostly.

Nice one, JB. Like Nathan, I was curious about what you would settle on after my visit and hearing how you were referring to this book. Short, sweet and stands out! Well, and all of those other good "S" superlatives.

Seeing the logo makes it so.....real!!!! Thanks JB.

••

It's been feeling very real!

When we embarked upon this project, I told Chris Ryall I wanted to get back to my roots in a very real way. I have spent much of the past 20 years or so exploring strange territories -- and will continue to do so, of course, with AFTERMATH and COLD WAR -- but TRIO I wanted to feel like coming home, for myself AND the audience.

As to a sneak peek, I suppose I can show you the finished art for the very first page, as there are no real Spoilers on it. This is the lettering guide. . .

There's another one of those Artie SImek style/inspired sound effects!
