Mr. Byrne, we are loath to admit it but this page has us stumped! Any light you could shed on what this page was used (or intended) for would be much appreciated, as we'd like to present the item as accurately as possible on the seller's behalf. Many thanks in advance and best wishes from Dallas!

That's the splash page to an unfinished (and thus unpublished) Wolverine story I started for my own amusement (ie, on spec) before I was assigned to the X-Men's own title. I think it got as far as one more (unfinished) page.

That´s surprising!

I don´t remember ever reading that you had an interest in the character prior to your assignment to the book!

That would explain why he hasn't grown arm hair yet!

That could almost be part of #109, with the team heading out for R&R while Wolverine is off alone and in costume.

How interesting! Especially Wolverine's mask - I'm glad you went with a different interpretation once you were officially on the title!

I can so totally identify JB Cyclops just by his posture, even though he's somewhat 'covered'.

What a great point! I don't know what compels me to memorize every detail of JB's career with the X-Men, but I would have said I'd seen it all. Now this!

Is there any plot details about this solo adventure which you can share, JB?

I'd bet the rest of the story is Wolverine going back into the mansion, filing his taxes, making a sandwich, and possibly knitting a sweater before settling in for a nap.  Maybe making some phone calls.

Yes, I'd love to more about the story too (if JB doesn't mind sharing)...

Or we can make up our own:

Wolverine: See you guys later. I'm off to appear in every book Marvel publishes.

Cyclops ( thinking): Somehow he must be stopped.

This is one of those stories that had nowhere else to go, once I abandoned it, so it promptly got forgotten. I really have no idea what the story was.
