I've told the story of my visit to JB's house -- and how we talked about Aftermath. I thought I kinda knew what this series was going to be like... I sure as hell didn't expect those 7 pages!! I think I still know where this series is headed... I think??
I won't be able to make it to the comic shop till Friday! AHHHHHH! This week is going to kill me!
Love the inks btw -- great job, JB :)

This would be a good point to mention that the middle issue, 42, exists largely because of a conversation Young Nathan and I had when he was here. He pointed out a wrinkle in my storyline that I had completely overlooked.Fun thing about this, it actually gives me a double ending, with the same line!

Nathan, isn't there some young intern you could abuse by sending them to the comic shop?

I think you would have eventually asked yourself the same question after you started working on the book, JB... but I feel extremely honored to have made a small difference in the Next Men saga :)
Double ending with the same line...? Hmmm. Trying to remember that last line again...

Even if someone could pick one up for me, I'd have no time to read it! Enough time to think about it though... and yes, it will be driving me crazy!!!

Does the printed cover have the sword in front of the logo? The preview that kicks off this thread still has the version with the sword behind the logo

Just finished reading this. I'm hooked! A lot of stuff is jammed into this issue, and some interesting mysteries have been set up. I've been wondering who would be coming back from the dead, and now it looks like we have an answer--and not one I'd expected! The 1975 interlude is most intriguing. And, given the events of # (3)9, very, very unusual. The cameo by a certain favorite character in that 1975 sequence was also very welcome. Looking forward to seeing this unfold!
