Jason: I would agree, but I doubt they draft a starter. They just extended both Garza and Edwin Williams...I would expect to see an increased role for him this year. Chris Williams is getting paid to be a left tackle and he should be there! Ditto for Spencer at center. That leaves Carimi at RT. unless somebody fall in their lap in the first couple of rounds a don't see them taking a lineman until the later rounds.

Robert Massie could be a goodpick for the Bears in the second round. There's been some talk that Quinton Coples might end up dropping like a stone now that Buffalo has signed Williams. The Bills seemed to be the only team interested in him that high. IF he's available at 19, I would not be all that upset as long as the Bears draft for the offensive line with their second pick. Also, apparently I was getting some mis-information concerning the trade for Marshall. From what I had read, the Bears had traded both 3rd round draft picks from this year. That's not correct. They traded the Carolina pick they got for Greg Olsen and next year's 3rd round pick. That at least makes me feel slighly better, but I'm still bothered by Marshall's off the field and disciplinary problems. Oh, and where did I find out about the details about the trade? Via a Vikings fansite, not on the Bears' official site.... (Matt will chuckle at that.)

The Jags are in the running for Tebow, 'natch. One of the top two teams in contention right now. The other? The Jets.
Wha?!? Huh?
Horrible.

Sean Peyton a year? Wow! Williams indefinitely? WOW! I guess the NFL is making a statement. New Orleans fans will have a tough one this year. Wow.
Tebow to Jets? Slash type player I say. What an amazing offseason this year.

I went to NFL.com and saw this "witticism": TIMSANITY.
Please don't let this become a thing.

Interesting turn of events. Will be watching to see how that situation plays out. The quicker the better for Tebow.

At least Tebow is wanted by other teams. I don't see him as a QB, but he could still be a dangerous player for the right team if he's willing to change rolls. Good luck to him.

It's official. Tebow to the Jets. NFL network reported that he had a choice between the Jets and Jags and chose the Jets. Good thing NYC is used to circuses!

I'll never get why so much press for a guy that was traded for a 4th round pick. I'd understand it more if it was outside football, but he gets way too much air time within the sport, too.

no doubt in my mind now the Bears go defense in the first few rounds. they've spent so much money in free agency on offense...maybe a lineman in the first few rounds, but I really doubt it.
if they don't re-sign Okoye, I would expect the first two picks to go on the d-line. if Okoye does re-sign 2nd round is a corner or a safety. third round is a linebacker.
