JB, any prospects of an IDW comic written by yourself and illustrated by another great artist, like Walt Simonson or Sal Buscema, for instance?

Not that I don't want you on the drawing board, it's just that I'd love to see some of those exciting pairings!

I was doing some calculating this morning, and you may have longer to wait for the second TRIO series than I thought. It's in line after the "Mystery Project", FINDERS OF LOST CHILDREN, and COLD WAR -- but that puts it considerably more than a year off!

I thought "grease" was the word. Or maybe "the bird."

That is why it is called a mystery. I'm positive when the project is announced so will the release date.

I thought the mystery aspect of the project related to the subject matter not the approximate release date.

Stephen, when I typed that, I immediately thought - THUNDERBIRD!

Wilson, why would there be a release date for a project that hasn't even been officially announced?

I wasn't looking for a release date, just an estimate of when it would be out like sometime in the beginning of next year.  Anyway, it looks like things on up in the air again.

Personally, I would like to see Trio and Cold War first.

Well JB announced his plans of taking a break and doing things at his pace. Which meant to me that time tables would be up in the air until certain projects were ready.

Excited for issue #4 next week but was hoping for a little quicker return. I have a feeling though that the mystery project will keep me going.

Not sure why you are making a big deal out of me asking, Paul.  I recall JB or someone quoting Chris Ryall giving a rough timetable in the past.

Looking forward to what you have cooking in the lab, JB!

More COLD WAR is really good news - anyone who wants to check out the first series can pick up the trade cheap at Amazon.  It's a really cool spy thriller with an excellent "silent" opening that reminds me of one of my favorite JB's stories from "Many Deaths of the Batman".  Fans of that dialogue free issue should check out COLD WAR

Really looking forward to the upcoming issue in the current TRIO series!  It's been a fun superhero ride.  I wish there were more books that had this wonderful mix of grandeur and pure fun.

I wonder if an entire no dialogue Cold War book would work.  That would be cool.

I liked the individual issues so much that I bought the TPB.

Not making a big deal out of anything, Wilson. You asked I answered. You didn't like my answer so I clarified. I do notice that you sometimes don't read what JB says or just ignore his posts. (Like your post above, which you edited, where you originally missed that JB said TRIO would come out later than sooner.) Here is a link to the thread where JB announces how he will work on the mystery project (and others) and that it won't be released until it is finished. Please note that you participated in the thread.

Actually, the comment I am recalling was from Chris Ryall on Twitter.  He mentioned a Jan 13 launch.  Thanks for your help.

You asked a question about something you already knew the answer to? Thanks for your help.

Getting a tidbit like, "Don't worry -- this is gonna be COOL!" just before bed sucks. Now my brain is going to be running much faster than my body wants it to. Thanks, Chief!! =)
