Love the variant cover for issue two. Really excited about the posibilities of different inkers for these covers. I won't speculate but I have my dream list.

Wow! That cover to issue 2 is amazing!!!

••

Here's a peek at the A cover, sort of.

Look familiar?

(As usual, we will dispense with witty comments about "Blur Man", etc.)

I am looking forward to this. Everything JB has done at IDW has been gold, but I believe this maybe my favorite going forward. I still believe JB's run on Fantastic Four is second only to Stan and Jack, and I think he can catch lightning in a bottle again. Above all else, this will look great in my collection.

I like the way "Paper" is draped all over that rubble.

JB, doe she present any challenges in drawing her that are different from, say, Mr. Fantastic?

Love it!
JB, Are you "winging it" as far as the plot goes?

JB, Are you "winging it" as far as the plot goes?

••

To some extent. There is a lot of groundwork to be laid, obviously, in a new series, and for this one (as mentioned previously) I have eschewed the "Origin Issue" and am "starting in the middle". This means, however, that I have to pay very close attention to the backstory I am trickling out, so I can't just "wing it" in that area.

But in the over-arcing storylines, I decided to borrow a page (more than one page, really) from Stan and Jack's playbook and just keep upping the ante every issue. Just keep throwing stuff at the characters (and myself!) and hope we can all come out of it more or less whole and sane!

Yes! Without giving away too much, Paper is TWO DIMENSIONAL. And she is pretty much STUCK in that condition. Which means some very odd views of her if she is coming at the camera from any angle other than head on.

I wish for a very long run, with lots and lots of sub-plots. You are the master of the sub-plot.
