Paulo, I don't think Rolling Stone sells back issues, but you can access all their back issues online if you pay for an "All-Access" subscription. The copy I bought I got off of eBay (usually that issue goes for $20 - $50 range, depending on the seller).

He sure is! The article has a pretty lengthy interview with him, and he goes into his history a bit, as an escape artist, and as a juvenile delinquent who got busted for stealing a good number of cars with his childhood friend. I met Steranko at a con once, and got his autograph, but I didn't get to speak much with him.

1971 was the year I first visited the Marvel offices. ********* This came out right about the time I was born!

You're welcome! That issue also has a few more things to interest comic book fans, too. There's a small article about Marc Bolan and T-Rex where Bolan references comic book characters, such as the Silver Surfer (he also did as much in some of his songs), and there's a picture of Wavy Gravy reading a "Superman" comic, and an ad for The Move's album, "Shazam"! Here's a color picture of that album cover:

Interesting article. That cover should help quash the notion that the Hulk was depicted as having a "body-builder" physique primarily after Lou Ferrigno's TV portrayal began in 1977.

Oh, the Hulk was definitely depicted as having more of a body-builder physique in the 1970's, but before the TV show. Jack Kirby's Hulk was all ready long gone before Lou Ferigno played the role. Looking at most any 1970's cover will show that to be true.Herb Trimpe's Hulk was kind of the transitional body, still more bulk than cut, but definitely more cut than Kirby's version.

Well, Paul... the woman who wrote the article mentions that she and Flo got stoned and drank as they talked about old times at Marvel. So, yeah, you may be right. And remember the time period (the early 1970's), when such casual drug use was not thought of as a big thing in certain circles.
