I'm adding a (large) hot tub to the backyard... and it's a crazy mess back there! The construction team has been very professional -- but it's 3 months of noise and mess until the job is complete.
Anyone else having construction going on at their place?

There's always a project or three going on at home. I'll be in L.A. At the end of May, have some Playmates and hot water ready for me.

Not now, but when we moved in the house next door was being built. I was surprised how I hardly heard any noise at all. Somehow the acoustics worked out just right to not be a problem for us.
We have been contemplating either adding on to the house sometime in the future or just building another house near by. Tough call, I do like our lot where we're at, but I wouldn't mind someplace with a view and a little more room and turning this place into a rental.

Oh, I'm guessing this thing won't be done by then. Right now it's just a big hole in the ground!
I'll go take a pic so you can see the mess...

No construction, but this Thursday a crane is coming to remove a 90+ foot poplar, 6 feet around, from the backyard (within 14 feet of the house)!

Wow! That's gonna be a huuuuge hot tub! Bet you can see it from space! ;) My brother-in-law had an in-ground pool built several years ago...lots of controlled chaos! Excavations like these always remind me of the pool scene from POLTERGEIST.

***
Almost 10 years now. I hate moving too. I moved so many times as a kid, that I really never want to move again. I would for the right house, tho. The one thing I don't like is we have a northern exposure for the main part of the house, so things stay cool, but don't get very sunny. It's not a big deal, but I wouldn't mind a bit more sun.
If I never moved, I'd be okay. I would just like a bit more room. Or maybe less junk.
