30" x 40 illo of Dark Phoenix attacking Darkseid and his minions on Apokolips, Landscape format, the details are:

- Please do not have any of the characters in hand-to-hand combat with Dark Phoenix, they can be firing towards her creating Kirby crackle, but I really want an unobscured view of her.

- Please draw Dark Phoenix in full phoenix-effect mode, with wings outstretched and claws extending towards the charging minions; please have her in a pose similar to this:

http://www.artofjohnbyrne.com/gallery/commissions/commission s-poses/Dark.jpg.php

Include the following:

- Darkseid (directing minions into battle)
- Kalibak
- Desaad
- Mantis
- Steppenwolf
- Sleez
- Granny Goodness
- Virman Vundabar
- multiple parademons of your preferred design
- at least one parademon with the following design:

Please add any other minions you would like to draw!

As usual, larger scan off to Dandy Dan for the Gallery, so don't strain your eyes!

Brilliant!!! Really nice contrast of the white space of the Phoenix flame with the detail behind. Can't wait to see the larger scan to check out all the detail.

Oh my.

I look on this and can almost hear your pencils and pens crying for mercy-- "No more, master, we were not meant to create such density of awesomeness! It isn't safe!"

I have a huge problem with this commission...it's the same problem I
have with all of JB's commissions .

It's not hanging on my wall!

A big one like this is indeed the goal. What a marvelous commission. That will look nice all framed and hanging on the wall. Great job!

Jim must be a very happy fellow. His son must have lost his cool seeing this in person. Jim gave me a one word hint last week: Crossover. JB, you really outdid yourself.

It's bee said many times with your commissions, but this makes me want to read the story that goes with it!

The art is great on it's own but the desire to see what happens next is almost too much to take.
