That's one of the biggest improvements I see comparing your very old stuff.  I still really enjoy the old stuff, but some of it, like Space:1999 (my first exposure to you) had some diagonal layouts and odd panel placement.  For me it is reminiscent of some very early Neal Adams, where he, too, was already a supremely talented artist, but hadn't quite mastered how to best position the camera and the players to capture the great stuff he wanted to show.   You shed all of that seemingly pretty quickly to become in my mind one of the cleanest layout and composition artists out there.  An amazing transformation!

That was a distinct problem for a lot of us who tried to emulate Neal. There was a tendency to skim off the surface, and not capture what was going on underneath. So, funky layouts and dubious storytelling abounded!

I love the different inventions Doom has in each commission. I imagine the great Doom stories that could go with these commissions.
