11" x 17" illo of the EC horror hosts (Crypt Keeper, Old Witch, and Vault Keeper). Setting is in a graveyard; details are:

- Crypt Keeper holding a book, skull, or some creepy item
- Old Witch behind a cauldron of brew
- Vault Keeper with a candle or lantern

Please draw the respective characters along the lines of their classic (later) appearances ala Davis, Ingles, and Craig

***Allowed myself to get a little interpretive with the interactions...

… you really nailed it JB.

Thanks! Bit nervous on this one. I have, to the best of my memory, literally NEVER drawn these characters before. Not even as doodles in a sketchbook.

Rather unexpected choice! You pulled it off nicely and that is a cute owl.

WOW.  Absolutely stunning.  The detail is incredible. If you were "a bit nervous", it sure doesn't show.

Ryan, you need to get some of the EC horror reprints; it's a shame you don't know who these characters are!  If you like horror stories with great artwork, check out some Haunt of Fear, Vault of Horror, and Tales from the Crypt comics!

Like Paul; I want this one for my collection!

Lots to love about the work in this piece!

The lighting at the bottom of the cauldron.
The clothing folds at the inner elbows are perfection.
The baby's skull in the pot. (your recent investment of Clones Bones inspired I assume?)
The border !!!

And most importantly: the FEEL of the piece!
Maybe the overall lighting, but it really evokes creepiness.

Cool commission, it is funny I figured I would be the only one saying this, but I LOVE the owl.

Given that I threw "him" in just to fill space, that owl seems to be the hit of the piece.

And here I thought it would be the Reaper statue that would win the Ooo's and Ahhh's!!

Lots of cool "Byrne Draping" in that drawing! Looks like you've been drawing
those characters your whole life, JB.

Spooky goodness. The owl appeals to me because it is the only figure not looking up at the viewer. Very nice to see stuff out of your wheel house getting smashed to the upper decks, Chief.
