…one panel of Magneto commanding an army that kind of looks like they're goose stepping…•• "Kind of"?

And that "table dance" description is an exaggeration. If their father/daughter relationship had been the idea at the time, it would have been a stranger and deeper scene -- but it takes a willful stubbornness to consider the scene as a "contradiction" to the idea that Magneto is Wanda's father.•• Especially since neither of them knew of the relationship at the time!

The "mysterious hold" Magneto had over the twins wasn't because he was their father, but because he had saved their lives from an angry anti-mutant (or was it an anti-witchcraft?) mob and they felt indebted to him.•• Slight tweak -- Magneto had saved Wanda (who had no idea she was a mutant) then Pietro stayed with her, out of loyalty, when she insisted on staying with Magneto out of gratitude.

I think when the guy starts pimping out your sister, it might be time to think of the debt as paid in full.

It's been ages since I read that issue of the X-Men, with the goose stepping army. Are they fake? (was Mastermind behind it?) Because, I can't see Magneto employing an army of humans.

IIRC, Some were illusions and some were real. I don't see why Magneto wouldn't use humans to further his goal. He not exactly the most scrupulous man, even when it came to his own ideology.

Because, I can't see Magneto employing an army of humans.•• When the army first appears, they are conjured up by Mastermind. Later, Magneto recruits real humans to fill in the ranks. In retrospect, that sequence reads like Stan covering in his script something Jack did in the art that didn't actually work -- namely, Mastermind's illusions having a PHYSICAL presence, being able to beat people up and operate over a wide range of territory, out of Mastermind's line of sight.

About the "lap dance"scene concerning Magneto and Scarlet Witch: I think, that even if Magneto was aware of his paternity to Wanda and Pietro, he probably still would have had Scarlet Witch "dance".
Magneto is a mass murderer. He is a monster. Also he is a user. He really does not care about mutants....or his family in my view. If this is so, does anyone really think he would care to use his daughter for his own ends?
That is Magneto to me: Use whomever you have to, by whatever means(humiliate, steal, kill , destroy, murder), to achieve whatever goals there are....even if it is his own children.

Thanks for the answer, JB! That makes a lot of sense.
