-BATMAN ANNUAL #1: On the fence about this...we'll see when we get there. -NEXT MEN AFTERMATH #43: Always a joy! -STAR TREK ONGOING #9: Fun stuff -TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES ONGOING #10: See above -NEW MUTANTS #43: This has been fun but the frequency is a bit much and I'd like to move on now. -WOLVERINE AND X-MEN #11: Another joy. -X-MEN LEGACY #267: Love Gage's writing and Sandoval's art, but man I want this hero vs. hero stuff over.
The list is here.
Small fifth week, but a heavy IDW one.

- Animal Man Annual # 1
- Batman Annual # 1
- Ravagers # 1: Bought in a discount bundle package for the new new 52. Howard Mackie is writing.
- Superman Family Adventures # 1: Aw yeah! New Art Baltazar!
- Next Men Aftermath # 43: Turn your membership in at the door if you are not buying this. I cheated and read the 8 page preview. Must get to comic shop when it opens.
- Star Trek The Next Generation and Doctor Who: Assimilation # 1: Figure I would give this a try. Would have been cooler with the original Trek crew.
- Kick Ass 2 Hardcover: Enjoyed the sickness of the first series, I love JRJr. and Millar reads better in trade.
- Rachel Rising # 8: Really underrated book by Terry Moore.
- Snarked # 8: Just a fun book all around. Roger Langridge is becoming a new favorite!

Comics out today? I thought they were usually a day late when there's a 3-day weekend...

Not sure of the specifics but stores normally get them on Tuesdays now but can't put them out until Wednesday. I assume (please anyone correct me if I'm wrong) that if there is still a holiday delay it allows comics to come in on Wednesday. My LCS is closed on Thursdays so I always had to wait two days.

LCS: Angel & Faith #10 Next Men #43 (naturally) America's Got Powers #2 (#1 didn't do enough for me to warrant an ongoing, but a six issue mini? What the heck.) FF #18 (flipping through #606 got me to change my mind and stick around at least to the end of the Hickman run)
Mail order: BPRD, Hawken #4, Game of Thrones #8, glamourpuss #25, Rachel Rising #8 and Rasl #14.

The guys at my local shop haven't seen me buy three comics on the same day in a long time.
I also took a look at the nice Russ Heath Sea Devils Showcase but passed for now.

Shawn, I wanted to grab the reprints but my LCS didn't have any copies and I haven't gotten around to ordering them elsewhere. Definitely interested in them though. Do you grab them?

Adam, My LCS still has a copy but I don't think that the art looks as good in color. My rule is that if I browse a comic in consecutive weeks and don't pick it up, I usually leave it on the rack. I love what IDW is doing with the Turtles though. I'm thinking that I should have bought the series that you read. I've heard good things. Here's my take on what I bought... BATMAN ANNUAL #1- I'm not sure that I like the origin of the New 52 Mr. Freeze. It's super dark and I feel like Snyder did it already with James Gordon. BATMAN BEYOND UNLIMITED #4- Great stuff. I like the variety of stories and any time you give me Norm Breyfogle art, I'm happy. RAVAGERS #1- Not bad. Not sure that Rose Wilson is going to be rehabilitated the way that I thought she was. SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES #1- Great funny stuff! YOUNG JUSTICE #16- A story about sidekicks and their mentors, this is a good comic! NEXT MEN AFTERMATH #43- Another great issue, I'm pumped for next month!

YOUNG JUSTICE #16 was a good issue.
Actually reads like a comic book. It's closet contemporary would be the work that Tom DeFalco, Sal Buscema and Ron Frenz did on the M2 line of books.

SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES #1- Great funny stuff!
*********
I'm lukewarm so far...
I love Baltazar and I loved TINY TITANS so much that I might be being a little hard on SUPERMAN at the start. He had built such a cool, crazy little universe that I hated to see it stop. The inclusion of the modern Superboy and the modern "New 52" Superman costume (barf!) are major turn offs to me.
