No, this is not a Star Wars question. I recently bought a 60 year old comic page, the description was: Exciting War Original Art, 1952, Whit Williams, Korea, Combat, Winter Clothing.I've looked up Whit Williams and could not find an artist by that name, or what issue it's from. I have done my searches on google and have found nothing. Can anyone help?

It looks like it's from "Exciting War" from Standard Comics. I'm not sure what the issue it comes from, though. Here's the comics.org entry for that series: EXCITING WAR

I wonder... Is Whit Williams the artist? It could be the name of someone else associated with the comic. That almost looks like an address under his name. Maybe the artist or editor jotted down that address as a note, and it refers to someone other than the art team? Edit to note: There is a "831 President Street" in Brooklyn, New York, which appears to be the address written below "Whit Williams."

Here's the comics.org entry for that series: EXCITING WAR Thanks Matt, I found that during my initial search but unfortunately it did not provide enough info. I thought it would be from issue #7 (top right corner of the page) and also found scans from 7 & 8 and, no go.

My first thought was that Whit Williams was a publishing house, but I think I'm thinking of Whitman.

William, you can make a better scan and then upload it to those museums.

Hi Folks,
A collector named Roy Johnson saw this thread and asked me to post the following:
****************
I asked the question on DigitalComicMuseum and got an answer:
"It's in #6 and the artist's name is Witmer Williams, though I'd never have guessed this was him. Didn't know that he'd worked for Standard."
****************
