Thanks Adam.  Clearly I'm remembering it worse than it was so I'll never revisit it!  That's at least a shade better than how she fared in her absurd death scene in "Ultimatum."  Curse you, Jeph Loeb.

It leaves a back door if they ever want to bring her back but in the Quesada/Bendis era we had Jan inadvertently start Avengers Disassembled by mentioning Wanda's kids to her, she had her pretty graphic sex scene with Hank in a hotel room, and she had a "friends with benefits" situation with Hawkeye to get revenge on Hank being so mean to her (granted the latter two were written by Geoff Johns and Chuck Austen) so I'm thinking that killing her off in Secret Invasion was doing her a favor.

Of course, Jeph Loeb couldn't be one-upped either. Makes all of that development Jan gained during Roger Stern's run seem pointless.

Earth 2 #4 - really enjoying this.
Justice League International #12 - Sorry this is ending.
Worlds Finest #4 - another excellent book.  Strange, seems DC saved their better efforts for the 2nd wave.

My reading results:

TRIO #3 - Love it.  A+ series.

GODLAND #36- I can't get enough of Scioli's art.  His comics just make me happy.  Nuff said.

SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES #3-  It's official.  I don't like this series NEARLY as much as TINY TITANS.  I'm very depressed about this...

AXE COP: PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD #1
- If you aren't reading AXE COP you are only hurting yourself.  It's amazing.

SUPER DINOSAUR #12- Another solid ongoing series from Kirkman.

@Bill Catellier - I'm really enjoying Earth 2 and Worlds' Finest, too. The fourth
issues were excellent!

Here's what I picked up yesterday:

  • A vs. X # 9: God help me, but I'm actually starting to like this
  • Action Comics #12: Not too happy about Captain Comet being the bad guy
  • Daredevil #16: I love this book -- the Foggy reaction was dead on -- remember he had been stewing on Matt being gone for two weeks going on three
  • Earth 2 # 4: I like the book, but I was thinking the same as Dave Phelps -- the JSA needs to be the elder statesmen of comics
  • World's Finest # 4:  good stuff -- nice homage to the original Power Girl costume
  • Nite Owl # 2: enjoy reading the Minutement and Silk Spectre more
  • Champions Vol.1 :  Haven't read any of these ever.  Looking forward to this

@Adam, Joe & David...

Sorry my "Franco Consoli" account is locked and I can't post, so I created a new account and had to wait the 24 hours... (a note has been sent to Jeff)

Anyway,  I skipped buying the First X-Men by Neal Adams after flipping through it,  they must have had 50+ issues on the shelf.  Batman Odyssey (I & II) was just so...  well you know.  Didn't want a repeat.
