Both Neal and Stan seem to have some youth serum. Stan looks and acts like a man thirty years younger than he is!

Well if you ever see them again in person Matt, ask them to shoot a vial of it my way, I'm old before my time.

Exactly what I was thinking, Michael P! It's awesome to have met both men the same day.

Today is the day I was planning on taking my son to the Toronto Fan Expo to meet Stan.  However for the last week and a half he's been out of control with tantrums and a generally miserable attitude.  He was told many times to turn it around or we wouldn't be going to meet Stan.  His behaviour coontinued being bad, and so we didn't go.  I'm pretty sad that we can't go...we may never again get the chance to thank Stan.  Sometimes being a dad is just no fun.

Couldn`t you have gone and left your lad at home? It`s sad to punish yourself while punishing him.

Bill, Stan was such an influence on me and has given me so many hours of entertainment that I considered going alone, but in the end I felt it would be too harsh for him knowing I was there and he had to stay home. Also, it's an experience I really wanted to share with Hunter. Chances are, I would have caved on my way out and taken him with me.

I can only hope that I'll get another opportunity to meet Stan.

Mike,
I was at FanExpo yesterday and Stan's line was humongous!
(the entry line to buy tickets was smooth as silk however, and we were in the gate within 20 minutes or so)

We did not spend the time to meet Stan, but did see him from a distance and he was going all day.

I think you did the right thing both times: Not giving in and sticking to your guns when telling your son to straighten up, and by not adding resentment to the situation by going without him. I hope both of you can meet Stan Lee at some point, though. On the plus side, Stan's been pretty active on the convention circuit, so there could be another chance to meet him.
