I was cleaning up and ended up leafing through an old comic and came across this pic... I was always really fond of this one, so I decided to post it. Apologies if its been posted before.

Terrible service.  I would get my issues weeks after they come out on the newsstands and usually they would be wrinkled with a huge crease in center.

I love that ad! Seeing that vintage of Byrne art (the stuff I grew up with) always makes me happy :)

Yes, I did end up getting my money back.

Does that mean I'm not allowed to complain about it?

Funny, in college I used to work in the same building as Marvel where they were holding their annual shareholders meeting, so I decided to attend just to see how it is.  A little boy stood up and told the CEO at the time how bad the subscription service was.  The guy basically agreed with the boy and told him to buy it on the newsstand.  The CEO made no effort to pretend to fix the problem.

Sheesh. Grumpy.

Where did I say you couldn't complain?

I found the question marks offensive.

Love seeing the old subscription ads and like others, agree that the service was not good.  I recall comics arriving about a week late and often damaged.  I remember having a subscription to SPIDER-MAN and having several issues in a row (maybe four?) arriving with the spine split almost completely in two.  Very frustrating.

Great example of how you can't tell exactly how things are being stated online!  I have no idea if Wilson is being serious or not.  I almost made a joke about the question mark in my last post but stopped realizing he might be serious and not wanting to offend anyone.
