Wow, nice!

Is this some kind of anniversary I haven't figured out as Paul Smith did the same cover in his latest post...

(close the gap in "agai n" to "again" to see his)

Thank you Rebecca.  I’m trying to “ink” this now and I have to admit….I’m struggling….ugh.   This little bit has taken me HOURS!!!  I can’t draw a steady enough line to my satisfaction….so I keep “erasing” it and starting over.

I’ve had the X-Men on my mind a lot lately, so I decided to redraw some iconic covers just as an exercise.

I have removed a few posts in which a forum member inked the pencils of
another member without first asking permission. To my knowledge, we have
not had this before - it strikes me as unusual and on the rude side, so let's
move forward by checking in before working on someone else's project.

One of the many things I like about this forum is the ability to post art and the interaction between members regarding said art. I certainly didn't intend for any rudeness. As Tim said, there were no prior guidelines for inking another member's work.
I inked David's pencils out of admiration and getting in some inking practice. If David is ok with it, I would be happy to re-post. If not, no worries.

Tim, I think Paul posting his inking take was a gesture of admiration for David's wonderful art and idea. As I mentioned in the now deleted posts, I started to ink the piece as well, with the intention to post it here, as a compliment. Having seen Paul's post, I decided to ask David's permission. To be fair, it was just a timing thing, though. My first impulse was to post it, but was beaten to it. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

And to return to the piece of art in question, David, it is truly wonderful, I wish I had thought of it. Your choices are great and your style unique. Thanks for sharing.

@Paul - YES!!!  Please do!  I don’t mind at all.  In face I’m honored.

@Athanosios - Thank you!

Tim's just being a decent moderator for the forum - trying to help maintain some order. I can appreciate that.
That being said - here's my inks for David's very cool pencils. I like the fact David left a little room for some embellishment, which I took advantage of. It's one area I need to get in more practice.
As mentioned previously, I can see some of your influences!
