Thanks guys, I've been lucky enough to be inspired by a wonderfu thread. So thanks to Teod for starting it up. Seeing all the great artwork here and that our host has been posting has pushed me on.

As far as the 4000 posts, most of it's drivel;-)

Hey Darren -- I know nothing about true "art" and I notice your blue pencil lines on the Demon -- then you inked over your blue lines - then the blue lines are completely gone...????   How do you do that?  Is it a computer trick OR is it as simple as an eraser ?   I have to scan and print my (grey) pencils to ink them 'cause I'm too afraid of screwing up the pencils.

Any pointers?

Thanks

Here's the final version of my Batman inked (but inked on 8x11 size not full 11x17 size)  PLEASE -- I am not only NOT a penciller, I am definitely NOT an inker -- I will take any critiques offered.

THANKS

Wow, I like a lot the Demon, Darren, and congratulations for the 4000 posts!
One day I will try to draw superheroes, it's VERY hard!

John Peter, I like The Thing and Ultron (¿?I don't know if Ultron is his English name)
"That building at the back of the horse reminds me of flash gordon"... Anything that passed for my head in that moment, the post-its are very small so I can not draw much detail.

Anthony Castrillo, I like that awesome Spiderman with his foes and friends.

another three post-its more...

scanned grayscale and black & white, too see what the art"work" would look like after processing.

I attempted an all Pitt Brush cityscape.  My nerves were a bit frazzled at first, but it got easier.

I wish we could have an inking Jb's pencils Sticky.

My presentation seems to have misled you. I did the rough in blue pencil on an A4 sheet of paper. It was one of a couple of ideas. As it was the one I liked the most, I scanned it in, resized and then printed it out at A3.

What I did was scanned in the two images sperately and placed them one on top of the other in Photoshop, giving the illusion of it being inked directly over the blue line but affording me the facility to display them seperately or together.

[I have to scan and print my (grey) pencils to ink them 'cause I'm too afraid of screwing up the pencils.

Try to get over the fear of the ink line, seems the obvious tip from what you have said. It's like a sprinter having a fear of the finish line! It doesn't best serve your intentions to cripple yourself so.

I'd suggest drawing, sketching in pen with no lay outs what-so-ever. Just to familiarise yourself with making sketchy lines. Maybe this will help.

-Darren
