Great stuff. How fresh and fun you make these old characters seem is one of your many strengths.

Sam Karns:
I forgot they were originally Spider-Man villains.

Hulk villains, actually -- they first appeared in Incredible Hulk #3.

Great, great pieces!  Human cannonball is probably my favorite, but all are winners.  So nice to see these characters and remember the fun stories I read with them!  Thanks JB.

These all look fantastic.  And they definitely make me want to buy some Marvel Essential books to see these guys in action!!!!

Human cannonball is probably my favorite…

••

I was nervous about that one. I wanted to avoid the forced-perspective-fired-from-cannon standard shot, but I also didn't want to get TOO "clever".

Giving us one of THE scariest opening scenes from the birth of the Marvel Age.

I am feeling a bit under the weather. So it is really nice to see these today. The Human Cannonball is my favorite of the group but I love them all. As always, a big thanks to JB for doing this series. No worries about me stopping this series anytime soon. I will keep it going until JB cries "No Mas!".

I'm intrigued by that comment, JB. Early Hulk is one of the few things missing from my experiences of the beginnings of the Marvel Age. Time to find that Essential.
