Great commission, JB... would you have enjoyed a run on DD's book?

I wonder what that would've turned out like...

••

With the way my mother restricted my comicbook purchases in my early teens, there were several Marvel titles I wasn't able to pick up. DAREDEVIL was one of them. Perhaps because of this, I didn't really develop a "feel" for the character. I can do a pin-up shot like this, but I find the necessary ingredients for telling full length stories about him to be elusive.

Curiously, this is not the case with Thor or Iron Man, whose books I also had to skip -- but, then I was buying THE AVENGERS, so I got my necessary "exposure" there.

Daredevil isn't in the Top 10 of my favorite characters that I've seen JB draw but this commission moves him up a few spots on that list. Beautiful!

A great commission! Daredevil is a favorite for me. Boy would I like to read the rest of this issue. Also the Cobra, Mr Hyde and Bullseye are some of my favorite villains. A great pick.
Such a great commission that I'm envisioning a Spider-Man scenario with the Vulture, Scorpion, Mysterio and Kraven.
Again, a great commission JB.

Now look what you did... now I'm missing "my" early to late 70's comics. I feel like Joey shouting for Shane to come back.

Very nicely done. I like the idea of including "The Man Without Fear" in the landscape. Especially the neon sign for "without".

What an amazing image! Great use of THE MAN WITHOUT FEAR. The use of blacks is visually stunning. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding in every way.  I have to say this is one of my favorite commissions.  It's very moody and the lettering works so well.

Congrats to the owner and well done JB.  You knocked it out of the park here.
