Cool!! I am a big fan of Captain Britain, it is awesome to see you draw him in this costume. I do not recall you doing this version before. I agree with Bill that you are on par with Alan Davis.

I Swear to Dog..... I don't think you even draw anymore. You're a sorcerer just waving your hands about and weaving you spells on the page and mesmerizing us with your power.

Y'know. . .   something has been happening in the work, lately. I hesitate even to "say it out loud", but I am as close as I have ever been to the picture in my head being the picture on the page. For years -- decades -- that has been a gap that made the Grand Canyon look like a crack in the sidewalk, but in the last 18/24 months, I really have felt something changing. That rare phenomenon which I have often described as "watching my hand draw" has been happening more and more. Captain Britain, in this piece, really did seem to just "fall out of the pencil".

Awesome piece!! I really like the Captain Britain figure, and the Spider-Man figure is pretty darn spiffy, too!

Here is a page that has the "Flag rules":

Flag Code.

I believe this is the particular section that applies:

 Flag Code wrote:
... The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery...

But a Google image search shows that many people ignore this. The law seems to be overlooked mostly.

Looking at the FAQ on that site I linked to above, it seems there are quite a few people who break the law regarding flags, but I don't know of any recent examples where the law has been enforced:

FLAG FAQ

As for the commission and its subjects, didn't Alan Davis design that version of the Captain Britain uniform?

A few decades ago you might have been, but these days the flag has been transformed into all sorts of clothing and no one seems to bat an eye.
