Well, that's awesome news.  Like I said, I'd almost certainly keep buying and keep enjoying even if it were more heavily weighted toward sequels, but I'll probably enjoy even more since it's weighted against sequels.

My preference for non-sequel stories strikes me as pretty well confined to an unstretched definition.  For instance,

INVISO TEXT (Click or highlight to reveal):
I don't think that Kor's appearance in "Mirror Cracked" renders that issue a sequel to "Errand of Mercy," even with the Organi Peace Treaty elements that play a role in the story.  I consider it a sequel to "Mirror Mirror."

I don't know what "follow up" means in this context, but even if it turns into something I'd consider a sequel, 3 out of 8 wouldn't be too bad anyway.

Here's a little sneak peek at something from the finished lead story for the fourth issue. A combination of modeling and heavily manipulated "location shooting."

(I have a ghostly memory of having already posted this. Did I?)

That has a distinct Steampunk vibe.

Interesting! It's dark without being depressing, if that makes sense. TOS with a bigger budget and more variety.

Or, as we used to say, OLD.

That set looks great... there's a bit of a Giger thing going on, what with the colours and the pipework. Lovely Strata/photoshoping

...

Yes, I meant to add, "....as my kids would say."

GAH! Setting up the "Space, the final frontier..." banner on a current splash page, I noticed a missing period, AND an "It's" that should be "Its". Somehow this slipped past dozens of pairs of eyes in the proofreading stage.

Fixed now, but there for all the world to see in first issue!

JB, I thought I'd pick you up on the last part of that sentence. Does this mean you'll be doing some stories closer to standard length, say roughly 30 pages, with a shorter backup feature?
