Continuing to play around in my head with various bits and pieces for a couple of possible future Photonovels. One story I realized would require a scene that I knew did not actually exist, and would therefore have to be built. So, since this was a rather IMPORTANT scene, I thought maybe I should build it now, rather than get that far into the story and discover I couldn't put together the pieces I needed!

So, here's the shot. . .

Spock not having a good day, obviously. (Now let's see how fast Greg Kirkman figures out how many pieces there are in this, and where they came from!)

It'll take him about 13 seconds, I'd say.

Offhand...

The figures of Kirk and "Spock" come from "Court Martial". I recognize the wonky angle that Finney held the phaser at during that struggle. Finney's tunic color has been changed, the insignia/rank stripes replaced, and Spock's head added.

Not sure where the Spock head and McCoy came from, although McCoy has been flopped, horizontally.

All three have been overlaid on what I think is the interior doorway of the officer's quarters set.

Pretty good! Correct on Finney, and McCoy has, indeed, been flopped. I'll probably mess with his hair if this looks like its heading for publication.

Spock's head is also flopped. It's from "Amok Time".

(But you will have to take three demerits! Finney's sleeve braid was not changed!)

Dagnabbit!

I forgot that Finney was named in dialogue as a Lt. Commander, but, in
an apparent costuming error, wore full Commander's stripes on his
tunic (not unlike Spock himself in early episodes)!

That level of image recognition is just plain eerie... :-)

Slightly embarrassing to admit I couldn't even have contemplate a project like this without a similar level of "recognition". If I had to hunt for every picture, instead of pretty much knowing where to look... Yoiks!!

Greg and JB - I think your image recognition, knowledge and insight into TOS are fantastic.  It makes for great reading here on the forum.  Your passion really comes through.

When will comics shops be ordering this? I want to plan a trip to mine to tell them to.

I agree in my circle of friends and family I'm the Trek guru. But my goodness I'm not even in the same ballpark as Greg and John.

As has been noted many a time, as far as my brain, this just takes up the parts other people use for sports.

What's a "sport"?
