11" x 17" illustration of the Golden-Age Superman with a similar feel as the cover to Superman # 14.

WOW! That is fantastic! JB, I hope you had an easier time with that eagle than the horses that have shown up in commissions!

I love the art of inking so I may be biased but I think you're really playing with the ink those days/months

I see more and more drawings of yours with a different kind of inking

And I do mean this as a big compliment

This one has a little bit of Dan Green on it I think

Great!  I was just looking at this cover only an hour ago!  (I keep all the mini-posters that come with the Asgard Press vintage Marvel and DC calendars.)

Brought a smile to me face.  Superb.

I feels like being there. The S. Was Superman jumping or flying there?

i remember reading about the original artwork for 14 being sold.
This is an amazing capture of the Superman of that time.

AMAZING! Someone's getting one fantastic Superman piece.

I miss this guy. The hero that stood for Truth, Justice, and the
American Way. The Superman you wrote and drew in the 80's, was
very much this guy. That character currently in the comics bares no
resemblance to the Superman I've read.

Nice piece overall John. Small detail that stands out to me is Superman's hand that is holding his cape. I really like the lines you used on the cape they show the impression of his hand very nicely.
