Garcia-Lopez seems to enjoy doing licensed work for DC and has a hand in every style guide they produce. Still, it would've been amazing to see him have a extended run on Superman, or any top tier title at DC. *sigh*

My memory may be faulty, but I believe his favorite work was when he was doing the pencils for Jonah Hex.

It always slightly bums me out when I learn that an artist I like, who is so good in the genre, doesn't like superheroes. It's always nice when artists like JB, who are great in the genre, also have a great fondness for it.

Well, hey, give Garcia-Lopez some credit... even if the guy doesn't particularly like super-heroes, it certainly doesn't show in his work!

Is it wrong that I just can't accept/believe that Garcia-Lopez doesn't care for superheroes? ;)

JB, have you seen any of Garcia-Lopez's romance work?  The little I have seen has been stunning.

John Buscema said the same thing, I heard he didn't like doing superheroes either. That's why he loved doing Conan.....

@Robert- If you're wrong then I'm just as wrong. I've heard for years
that JLGL doesn't care for superheroes and only recently had it
confirmed that John Buscema just outright hated them! Yet their work
on them is just stellar! I know I've always sincerely hoped that pros
enjoy doing the work at least as much as I enjoy reading it. It's a little
disheartening to learn that that often isn't the case.
