Too Cool! $22 on sale thru Amazon!

I've been looking for that Superman vs Wonder Woman for a decent price, but this package with the additions looks to put that search at an end.

Tho I don't see issue numbers, from the list of guest stars looks to be that Treasury, the first few issues of DC Comics Presents, and a couple of issues of Superman (right around #300, from back in 1976). Not sure where the team-up with Supergirl is from.

Very nice looking set.  Plus a doable price.  I'll have to pick it up.

Word on the street is that it's his birthday today.

Happy BDay, Mr Garcia-Lopez!

I recently picked the the original SUPERMAN vs THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN in
really great condition (mine was falling apart!) at a consignment store for
$20.

---

I found my copy at the Raleigh fairgrounds flea market for a low price as
well.

What an artist. I grew up a Marvel kid, but Garcia-Lopez's art made me want to bow down at the altar of DC.

Well, I am Johnny come lately on this one, this is the first I have heard of this Lopez collection. I will have to see if my LCS can get me a copy. I always thought that Lopez's work looked like it had a heavy Andrew Loomis influence on it. Masterful work.

When Garcia-Lopez first showed up, I was struck by what seemed a strong Ross Andru influence. His work is more fluid than Andru's, but every so often there are distinctly Andru-esque poses.

They took turns on ATARI FORCE. At the time, I thought it was all the same artist!

Had this ordered since January, really looking forward to it as I have very little of Garcia Lopez's work.

Seems like that might have been where I first became aware of Garcia-Lopez. I wonder if Ross was doing layouts, and some of it "stuck"?

Andru was one of the artists for the Atari Force mini-comics. He also provided breakdowns or layouts for issues four and five for Garcia-Lopez on the regular series.
